Sunday  

After an early departure from your home area, you'll take a late morning channel crossing to France to arrive at your resort hotel in time for dinner.

 

Monday - Rudesheim am Rhine

After a lazy morning in Hemsbach, you'll take lunch instead of dinner then have an included afternoon and evening visit to the picturesque riverside resort of Rudesheim.  Here you can take the chairlift to the Germania viewing point, enjoy a brandy tasting at the Asbach distillery, visit the music museum or just explore the many traditional bier kellars along the famous Drosselgasse.  During the evening you can take dinner (not included) in a typical Rhine winehouse followed by dancing to a live band before returning to Hemsbach late evening. 

 

Tuesday - Rothenburg

Today your optional excursion visits the historic city of Rothenburg on Germany's famous 'Romantische Strasse'. Here you'll have time to explore its quaint cobbled streets, bustling market squares and fairytale houses, completely surrounded by its imposing castle walls.  You'll also have the opportunity to visit the impressive year-round Christmas Grotto which supplies Europe's Christkindl Markets with its decorations and small wooden toys.

 

Wednesday - The Mosel  Valley & Cochem

This morning’s included sightseeing excursion takes you first to the confluence of the Rhine & Mosel rivers at Koblenz, then follows the path of the Mosel through quaint wine growing villages to its main riverside resort of Cochem. Free time will be available here for personal sightseeing before returning to Hemsbach for dinner.

 

Thursday  Lorelei & The Rhine Gorge

After breakfast today your optional excursion travels along the river Rhine and through its dramatic gorge to the Lorelei Rock where the mythical water nymph is said to have lured passing sailors on to the rocks with her music.  There is also the opportunity to take a riverboat cruise before visiting a local vineyard for an optional tasting of the many fine wines produced in this region.  Return to your hotel for dinner.     

 

Friday   

Sadly, you'll leave Hemsbach after breakfast for an afternoon channel crossing to England, to arrive within your home area late the same evening.    

 

 

Your Holiday Hotel

You will be accommodated at the Seehotel in Hemsbach or a similar hotel of equal quality.
