See the top of the world from a revolving cable car, explore the lakeside resorts of Lucern & Interlaken then photograph the dramatic mountain peaks from your train carriage as you follow the route of the famous Glacier Express. 

 

 

Your Holiday Programme:

Saturday
After an early departure time from your home area, for your channel crossing to France, you’ll travel through the French Champagne region to arrive at your comfortable hotel near Strasbourg during the evening.

 

Sunday - The Black Forest
Today you'll enter the Black Forest and follow the Cuckoo Clock trail past Triburg and Schonwald to the impressive LakeConstanceRhineFalls at Schaffhausen. On entering Switzerland, you'll pass Zurich and Lucerne to check into your hotel in time for dinner.

Monday - LakeLucern
This morning you'll leave after a lazy breakfast for an included sightseeing visit to the beautiful lakeside resort of Lucerne where you can take a boat cruise around LakeLucerne (not included). You'll return to your hotel for dinner.

 

Tuesday - Glacier Express
A real holiday highlight!  Today your optional excursion takes you by coach to Chur then along the route of the original Glacier Express to Disentis , where you'll board your train and travel through some of the world's most dramatic scenery to the Alpine resort of Andermatt.  Here your coach will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in time for dinner. 

Wednesday - Interlaken & Brienz
Todays included excursion takes you over the BrunigPass and into the Bernese Oberland to see the famous wood carvers at Brienz before reaching the picturesque lakeside resort of Interlaken.  Here you can have free time in the resort or you can take an optional visit to the impressive Trummelbach waterfalls.  You'll return to your hotel for dinner.

 

Thursday - Engelberg & Mount Titlis

After breakfast this morning your optional excursion takes you high into the Swiss Alps to Obermatt and on to Engelberg where you'll take the world famous 360 degree revolving cable car up 10,000ft to the top of MountTitlis. Given clear conditions, you can photograph the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau peaks before visiting the unbelievable Titlis ice caves. Late afternoon you'll return to your hotel for dinner. 

 

Friday - The RhineValley

This morning you'll bid farewell to Switzerland and travel via Basle, Freiburg and Karlsruhe to your overnight hotel in Germany's RhineValley region.  During the evening, an optional farewell dinner is arranged at a typical Rudesheim Wine House followed by an evening of dancing to live music .

 

Saturday

Sadly, you'll leave Germany after breakfast for an afternoon channel crossing to England, to arrive within your home area the same evening.
